Good evening, Luceti. My name is Dana Scully. I'm a medical doctor here at the main clinic, and... well, I guess this is a general announcement that I'm also available for any immediate medical attention that anyone might have. You can contact me through the journals, or you can find me in my room. I'm located in Community House seven, second floor, room seven.

I'd also like to extend out that I'm also a capable scientist to a degree, and if, for whatever reason, those skills are needed, you may seek me out for that as well.

[There's a pause for a moment.]

In any case, I'd like to ask the locals that have been here longest if... there's any place to really get a good bite to eat. Or, well, how good the pizza is here.

Ah, organic chemistry. I liked that. [Well, at least in retrospect and unlike his mun. He admired the organized, systematic nature of it. And hmm, identifying organisms? Maybe that means...] Say, have you had any experience working in a clinical laboratory? I've been doing a lot of my own tests and cultures, but my skills in that are more than a little rusty.

Well, I had a few people come in with fever and upper respiratory symptoms, so I've been doing some sputum cultures on agar. I also have some feces sample plates going right now. Besides that, I've been doing some basic blood tests--blood volume, cell counts, hemoglobin, glucose and a few other chemicals--and urine tests. I think there might be some automated equipment in the lab for the chemical tests, but I'm not familiar with how it works, so...

[Heck, there's a lot of things he's not familiar with. He's from a time where people still pipet with their mouths and do counts manually under the microscope. It'd be much nicer to get someone modern doing this stuff for him.]

They look pretty new to me. That'd be great--I'd appreciate it if you taught me. Cut down the time I'd have to spend in there.

[Not that he's particularly strapped for time--it isn't like he has an enormous number of patients to attend to, after all. But nevertheless, he'd prefer to be out and available to receive them, rather than behind a lab bench.]

Yeah. I'm down here from nine to six during the week. [Yep, even in Luceti he's managed to set himself to a schedule. Old habits die hard.]

Dr. Willock. We've probably seen each other before, just never had the occasion to talk.
