[There is a redheaded woman walking into the village today - however, she almost looks like a zombie, with the way she's shufflin'!

No, Scully isn't a zombie, but she certainly feels like it. She'll be shuffling over to the tea shop, hoping to relax for a little while with a nice cup of Chamomile and something to eat.

Once her journal is back next to her, she'll record something.]

Remind me not to go back to any ruins anytime soon. I think I'm getting too old for any of that.

[So guess who's been anxiously awaiting her return? THIS GUY. Mulder hurries to find her when he hears the message, eventually coming to the conclusion of where she could be. He heads in and takes a seat nearby.]

Did you get me a souvenir?

Yeah, a punch in the face courtesy of some cultists. Want it now or later?

[Scully will glance over to him with a look that's partially a LOOK and some amusement mixed into it.]

I was hoping more for a keychain. I'll save it for later, if you don't mind. [Besides, the way Scully looks, he doubts she could hit hard at the moment.] ...How did things go out there?

Besides ruins that felt like they went on for an eternity and crazy cultists coming out to say hello, it was very enlightening. You'd have a field day, I think.

I'm sure I would. [He so wants to know what what she found or saw out there, but first...] And are you ok? You didn't get too roughed up there, I hope?

Nothing I couldn't handle, just a normal operation. Would have liked to have less attacks, but it wasn't anything serious. I didn't get any serious wounds, I think I'll live. Nice to be back though.

[And in one of her more rare affectionate moments, Scully will lean over and just rest her head on Mulder's shoulder.]

I could use a long nap though.

[That small gesture- it shows so much of her trust in him to show any sort of vulnerability like that need for affection... Mulder wraps his arms around her. He's so relieved that she's ok.]

You can have as long as you need, now... and I could stand guard for you, if that'd help any.

I dunno if I'll need anyone to stand guard, but thanks for the offer. If it weren't for the craziness, those ruins would have been fun to explore and find out more, to analyze, to learn-- I didn't already say that, did I?

Could it be that you're starting to appreciate the vast scientific potential that lurks outside of this place?

Without winged people trying to attack and kill me, maybe. [He might get a bit of a Look for that.] But otherwise this is one giant X-File waiting to happen. Too bad it seems that no one remembers anything once they've gone back home about this place, huh?

[He at least does give her a sympathetic expression about the being chased by murderous winged people.]

That's the one aspect of this place that I wish we could fully understand. Why and how are our memories erased, going from this world to ours? I fee like if we could find some way to preserve those memories, we'd have a step toward freeing people from this place...

It's probably a side effect of their method of sending us and retrieving us. Who would believe us anyway? As it is, trying to get back here would be difficult. Though maybe-- maybe it's aliens.

[While she's not dissing the X-Files, it is her way of saying 'There's few that would believe us, beyond the UFO believers and even then it might be stretching it.']

Now you're speaking my language. This place really has made me wonder, how many of the abductions that have happened back home might really be something like this place...
